The Legend of Triswami

THE LEGEND-
The first sighting of Triswami in the physical form was first reported in 1987 in north Florida. The early years of his human form were without fanfare and, until his first scribed lesson, circa 1996, little was recorded. His true genesis is unknown and his reported age is undocumented. There is considerable evidence of his existence throughout north Florida dating as far back as 1971; several years before the revelation of his true calling- Triathlon. The origin of his enlightenment is unknown, but templates of his earliest teachings can be found sparsely in archived Gulf Winds Track Club newsletters. There is rumor of a moment of epiphany in the late 90s involving a thunderstorm, 3 bikes and an at-risk kid goat. He has been known to allude to this experience when inspired by the nectars. The factual details remain controversial. As subtle and unceremonious as his first documented appearance may have been, so too was his disappearance around 2003. However, like the Phoenix rising from the ashes, Triswami re-appeared in 2008, some 500 miles north, in Music City, USA. Somewhat weathered and aged, his human form is not ageless, but the legend remains timeless. Triswami has evolved and is much more than merely a human form, now. Triswami is a philosophy, a way of life…a way of Tri. Triswami is accessible to, and attainable by, any triathlete whose mind is open to the illumination of the golden sun that is Triswami wisdom.

A most recent client commentary -

(In the context of a tritahlete focusing only on Boston Marathon prep)

Definitely feeling better during my workouts.  My swims seem slower, but ultimately that is the least amount of time in the triathlon and the least of my worries. If I want to ramp that up midsummer, I might.

My speed workouts feel a lot better and so do my long runs.  I am relatively rested.  I am looking forward to tapering this week.

My biking is going great, and it just feels nice to have the pressure off in the bike department.

I feel that you were so right about training, and I am thrilled.  Also, my parents think you were totally right!!  They feel I have scaled my life back to a manageable level.

Thank you, Thank you!

Betsy Sloan
